I agree with the words of Mr. Martin Luther King Jr. when he stated that, “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.”
Perhaps, in an ideal world education should be organized from the viewpoint of the students. And I say that, not only because I concur with Reverend King, but also because in fact the most innovative and outstanding inventions of humanity come from the mixture of those two characteristics – intelligence and character.
Even more, an education system should prioritize the harmony existing between what is taught and what transcends. In fact, it is public guidance what has brought us to this period of human social development. For good or for bad, we are the result of centuries of public policy creation, led by the disposition of countless teachers and students.
Consequently, when thinking of an ideal education system, “the fundamental contributions in terms of politics of modern society, is that it still contributes to the management of population.” (Professor Stephen Ball, 2016). Therefore in my opinion, a great deal of responsibility for enduring the quality of systematic instruction or guidance should fall on the hands of governments.
In conclusion, as people are responsible for the act of their governments in any representative political structure, you are the responsible of educating the future and attaining the ideal.
